The marvel of the west, where spirituality meets stunning scenery. Surrounded by an immense bay, the Mount houses a religious sanctuary dating from the 8th century. Since then, the Abbey has evolved through time into a multi-storied, awe-inspiring edifice. During the Middle Ages, it was a major spiritual center attracting as many pilgrims as St Jacques of Compostella or even Rome.
Nestled in the heart of famous vineyards, Saint Emilion embodies the perfect balance between tradition and progress. While it is a vibrant town, bustling with modern amenities, the landscape also benefits from stunning rural views above the Dordogne Valley.
A first approach to “Impressionism” via the home and gardens of the father of this 19th century art movement: Claude Monet. During your visit you’ll understand his inspiration to mix light and color to such magnificent effect. Rouen, an impressive city topped in blue slate and coiffed with the bell towers of gothic churches immersed in the history of not only Normandy, but of France itself.

On behalf of my wife Lois, and our friends Beverly and Larry Weinstein we wanted to thank you and give you some feedback on our experience with your company. We booked our trip though Kensington tours, and they went through your company to arrange the details of our trip.
We wanted to thank you for the great service. We spent 2 days with Diane, and a day each with Sophie, and Gwen. They are all professional timely, go the “extra mile” to make the trip interesting, spend extra time, and did their best.
They are all a true asset to your company, and we wanted you to know that. They were very knowledgeable, and all tried their best to make our trip memorable. Each guide had their own special qualities, and we thank you for your good timely accurate caring service.
Please thank them for us!

Dear Ingrid, My wife and I have now returned from a superb tour of Normandy, guided by Gwenael Pierre. Over the years, the two of us have had the privilege of taking many tours, military and non-military, in a wide variety of geographies. In every case, the quality of the guide has constituted a critical differentiator to the quality of the experience. As noted above, the quality of our experience in Normandy was nonpareil. Gwenael constituted the essential factor in producing that happy outcome. His erudition, energy, flexibility, and not least, acute sensitivity to the preferences, and quirks, of his clients, was nothing short of remarkable. We would recommend Gwenael unreservedly, including to our most demanding friends. Our sincere thanks to you for the introduction of this most stimulating and competent professional. Sincerely,

Dick and I wanted to thank you for all of your kindness and amazing information while we were with you this past week. We returned home from Paris on Wednesday after a very long 24 hrs of travel. I have written to the company who connected me with your tour guide group and told them how wonderful you were. I hope it helps get you lots more business! Don’t forget – if you ever plan a trip to Seattle someday, we would be happy to host you in our home while you are here. Best wishes! (August 2018)

Ron and I had an absolutely wonderful day touring the D Day sites with Yolande yesterday. From the moment she greeted us at the train station until she dropped us off at our hotel, Yolande could not have been more pleasant and knowledgeable. We learned and saw so much and had a perfectly wonderful experience. Thank you so very much. (May 2018)

I have discussed with my client yesterday her trip so far and I wish to thank you for your excellent job on making sure she had a good time. Your guide was excellent, she was very happy and impressed by the knowledge the guide had shown during the tour. I also appreciate the fact the guide was able to be flexible and accommodating given the high expectations this client had. I will definitely use you again in the future. (May 2018)

I want to thank you and your company for the outstanding tour guides we had on our recent stay at La Ferme Saint Simeon. Xavier gave me your name and I want to tell you that Yolande and Diane are fantastic! They are very professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We were very blessed to have them as our guides. We had six people with us and toured Normandy, Giverny and then to CDG airport. Please give them our sincere thanks for making our visit to France very memorable. (April 2018)

We were three couples on a cruise ship who wanted a private, two day tour in the comfort of a large van with an English speaking guide. We got waaaaay more than we hoped for. Our driver/guide, Diane Condon-Boutier, made our experience absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge of the area and history was excellent and her ability to relate this information was so interesting and so much fun. She is a delightful gal. We all felt we had one of our girlfriends with us. She met us at our ship and planned the entire two days based on what we thought we wanted to see. She wisely advised us to what was worth seeing and what took too much time. We couldn’t have been happier with what she gave us. The owner of the company, Ingrid Gillette, was wonderful to deal with and very responsive to all our emails. I would recommend Label West Tours over and over again. They truly want you to enjoy their France.
We spent two days with private guides. Day one was all about the D Day beaches – Sophie was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. She took time to explain the various sites and the history of each site. At the last minute we asked about seeing the Tapestry at Bayeaux. Sophie was able to include that in our day and we were able to see the Notre Dame Cathedral at Bayeaux as well as a little of this charming town. The second day we were picked up by Diane to travel to Mont Saint Michel. We often use private guides when traveling and I must say that Diane was wonderful – so knowledgeable, so willing to spend hours telling us the history of Mont Saint Michel but also of France, we really loved our time with her! Mont St. Michael is not to be missed if visiting Paris!

Jerome in Bordeaux was wonderful! He went above and beyond to help my group of 8 ladies… He was also well dressed and well mannered and very kind. The doors of the train opened and he was standing right there, he helped with the luggage and we all went to his waiting car, he drove us to the ship. He was waiting for us after the cruise. What was so incredible was that he helped us put the luggage onto the train in Bordeaux, he boarded the train with us and carried each piece of luggage to our train car and loaded it into the bins. I cannot tell you what a relief this was for all of us. I would also HIGHLY recommend Jerome to any future travelers to the Bordeaux area.
