The marvel of the west, where spirituality meets stunning scenery. Surrounded by an immense bay, the Mount houses a religious sanctuary dating from the 8th century. Since then, the Abbey has evolved through time into a multi-storied, awe-inspiring edifice. During the Middle Ages, it was a major spiritual center attracting as many pilgrims as St Jacques of Compostella or even Rome.
Nestled in the heart of famous vineyards, Saint Emilion embodies the perfect balance between tradition and progress. While it is a vibrant town, bustling with modern amenities, the landscape also benefits from stunning rural views above the Dordogne valley.
A first approach to “Impressionism” via the home and gardens of the father of this 19th century art movement: Claude Monet. During your visit you’ll understand his inspiration to mix light and color to such magnificent effect. Rouen, an impressive city topped in blue slate and coiffed with the bell towers of gothic churches immersed in the history of not only Normandy, but of France itself.
I want to say thank you for the great service you and your guide Corinne performed during the excursion. Yesterday, I had a telephone call with Mr. K., who also confirmed that everything (except the weather) went really fine. The guide was perfect, the coach clean and comfortable and the driver very friendly. The group had a really nice day, but they had to shorten the time in Honfleur since it was raining so strong. Nevertheless, the guests were satisfied, so am I – thank you very much!

Our trip to Normandy was the tops from beginning to end. We were greeted at the Charles de Gaulle airport by our driver Philippe, who drove us to our hotel in Caen. Phillipe is an excellent driver (as were all our guides) and he made sure we were comfortable. He speaks excellent English and pointed out places of interest along the way. We were helped into our hotel and given recommendations for dinner and information for meeting Adele, our guide and driver for the next three days. Adele greeted us the next morning. She also speaks excellent English. We discussed our purpose for our trip, mainly to visit D-Day sites and also other historic sites in the area. Adele quickly adapted her plans to ensure we were able to visit the sites of interest to us that would not be on the regular tours. She was a history major and is very well informed on the entire history of the area. She could make the sites come alive for us. Adele quickly sized us up and was able to keep everyone engaged, on track and having fun. She planned all of our day trips in Normandy. We had a crisis which Adele handled swiftly and professionally. One of us could not find a credit card case at an historic site. Adele contacted all the appropriate people and did everything necessary to resolve the issue. Our last day in Normandy we were guided by Diane. We were on our way to Paris and we spent the morning in Honfleur. She took us on a fun, informative tour of the area and had us in Paris in plenty of time for our next adventure.

I want to let you know that we had a wonderful time visiting the country side with Anne-Cécile. She was a little nervous when she picked us up but once she figured out we were harmless I believe she really went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. I would recommend her highly to anyone that wants to see the true Normandy region. Please tell her “Thank you” for making our day memorable. Again thank you for helping make our trip special.

We were three couples on a cruise ship who wanted a private, two day tour in the comfort of a large van with an English speaking guide. We got waaaaay more than we hoped for. Our driver/guide, Diane Condon-Boutier, made our experience absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge of the area and history was excellent and her ability to relate this information was so interesting and so much fun. She is a delightful gal. We all felt we had one of our girlfriends with us. She met us at our ship and planned the entire two days based on what we thought we wanted to see. She wisely advised us to what was worth seeing and what took too much time. We couldn’t have been happier with what she gave us. The owner of the company, Ingrid Gillette, was wonderful to deal with and very responsive to all our emails. I would recommend Label-West Tours over and over again. They truly want you to enjoy their France.
We had a great tour with Anne Cecile on September 7th,2013. She picked us up at the port of LeHavre, and from there we visited the small and very quaint village of Beuvron en Auge. Then,on to the Jardins of Pays d’Auge, where we spent a bit of time marveling at the beauty of the gadens and the wonderful structures of country life from the days gone by.Before departing for the town of Honfleur,we enjoyed a fantastic lunch of crepes and cidre on the patio of the creperie located on the property. There was a lot of laughter and comeraderie, and Anne-Lise made us feel comfortable and welcome in her beautiful country. And let’s not forget a stop for Calvados and cidre tasting. Thank You Ingrid and Anne-Lise for making it such a special day.

We spent two days with private guides. Day one was all about the D Day beaches – Sophie was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. She took time to explain the various sites and the history of each site. At the last minute we asked about seeing the Tapestry at Bayeaux. Sophie was able to include that in our day and we were able to see the Notre Dame Cathedral at Bayeaux as well as a little of this charming town. The second day we were picked up by Diane to travel to Mont Saint Michel. We often use private guides when traveling and I must say that Diane was wonderful – so knowledgeable, so willing to spend hours telling us the history of Mont Saint Michel but also of France, we really loved our time with her! Mont St. Michael is not to be missed if visiting Paris!
